In 2019, there are 1 billion more mobile connections than people worldwide. Since 1973, mobile devices have surpassed the number of people in the world. Currently, 66% of the world’s population owns a cell phone. The United Arab Emirates has the highest number of people owning a smartphone with 82.2% of the country’s population owning a smartphone. Bangladesh has the lowest number with just 5.40% of the population owning a smartphone.
Smartphones have become a big part of our lives whether it be used for communication, the internet, or to play games, and pass the time. These cool smartphone features are leading the pack:
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 comes in black, white, silver, red and pink and will have a single camera on the front of the phone. The front will feature a punch-hole camera on the front at the top of the display located in the center. Vertically-Stacked triple camera setup will be on the back of the phone. It is expected that a feature will come out where you can turn everything except yourself in the photo to monochrome. It will charge much faster than past models as well. The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is expected to be released on August 7th at an Unpacked event in New York.
2. Facial ID
With Face ID, your face is the password to unlock your phone. It offers adaptive recognition meaning if you change your appearance slightly, the phone will still be able to recognize your face. If you wear glasses, put on a hat, or wear different types of sunglasses, your iPhone will still be able to recognize you. This feature comes with the iPhone XS and aside from unlocking your phone, you no longer have to remember usernames and passwords. You can just look at your phone instead of typing in information when logging into your apps and accounts. The flood illuminator has an invisible infrared light that allows your face to be identified even when it is dark. Around 30,000 dots are projected onto your face so that a facial map can be built. An infrared camera captures an infrared image, reads the dot pattern, and sends the image to a bionic chip to confirm the match.
3. Super Retina
The iPhone XS Max features a 6.5inch Super Retina custom OLED display with 458 pixels per inch. It has a resolution of 2688×1242. The super retina on the iPhone XS Max allows for massive screen size, it is the largest display ever on an iPhone. Another interesting feature on this iPhone is the custom-built OLED panels that allow for an HDR display. With this feature, you can experience incredible brightness and contrast, true blacks, and the best color accuracy. The color management allows you to display content in great color. It has the highest pixel density and the sharpest displays out of any other iPhone model.
These are some popular phones that offer incredible features. Technology continues to advance, and companies are constantly coming out with the latest technology to help people in all different ways. It is incredible how much we rely on technology in our daily lives and how important it is to us.
